Pandemic Response
As the Swine Flu pandemic warnings were announced, we approached many of our clients with solutions to help them minimise the risk for their staff. One client, a city-based US law firm, introduced some of these special measures to avoid the spread in the workplace. A supplementary day time washroom clean and sanitising service was introduced which involved cleaning all touch points with disposable anti-bacterial wipes and supplying protective hand gel to minimise contamination. This was supported by deep cleaning all their IT and telephone equipment. The operatives assigned to this very specialist aspect of our service are fully trained to carry out the clean to a high professional standard.

Following this, the client has requested an on-going scheduled monthly service to clean and sanitise all keyboards, mice and telephones which are known to harbour bacteria most likely to spread infection.
Environmentally sound, excellent service

Sally had been an office manager in the City, very satisfied with the waste management and cleaning service from Office and General. The monthly stationery deliveries always resulted in empty boxes needing to be cleared quickly. By sending a message to her Account Manager's BlackBerry, we arrived swiftly to collect and correctly dispose of the cardboard. 

After a career move to a hedge fund company in Mayfair, Sally was disappointed with the poor service standards and lack of care received from the incumbent cleaning contractor. Her employers made no attempt to recycle vast amounts of empty plastic bottles and newspapers. Office and General were subsequently asked to provide a recycling service to support the existing cleaning contractor; however their cleaners continued to throw out everything with the general waste and complaints went unanswered. Sally called O&G and we took over the account. She is now delighted as it has saved her from the frustration of dealing with a non-responsive supplier and helped her gain the respect of her Director who was very impressed with his company's new recycling initiative. It was a further bonus for the fund, when they could demonstrate to an environmentally aware investor that they were making their own particular contribution to saving the planet, resulting in more business.
